I'm in your same perdicament. I have gotten a student loan and I'm going to School Of Communication Arts now. Taking Digital media. I've worked 20 some years in the manufacturing business and I've always felt my talent was going to waste. So here's my attempt to try and break a dead-road mold I had put myself in. to let my talents create a income for me. Our talent is a blessing from God and everyday we fail to use it effectively or waste it, it becomes a curse. Good Luck to you the whole art community is routing for you.

yeah I understand. I'm 42 and the thing is I still have a passion for drawing, creating, and my skill keeps getting better, so for that matter in its self I feel I'm destined despite how long it takes that I will work as a artist. You never stopped dreaming so obviously its birthing to become reality.

Hey man glad to see the spark still lives, Im in a somewhat similar situation as well I guess. I have no idea what I should do right now. All I can say is keep drawing man, I dont draw even a fraction of how much I did in school. Theres something about having a full time job out of necessity that eats away at your soul. . .

you keep goin man and ill do the same cuz honestly I dont know what else to do. . . .

True t'ings, man. Good to hear from you again. Check this; tomorrow I'm going to the agency to hand in all my paperwork. From there, they make the decision weither or not to give me the funding.
I hate that so much hangs on a 'yes or no'. Yup, still drawing in the mean time.
A LOT of the panels in my book need re-doing!

Thanks so much. I'm seeing these people 1st thing tomorrow morning with all my paperwork to see if I qualify for funding. I've heard that plenty of other people got it, but I just hate that so much hinges on this one 'Yes or No'.
